I was saving for either a DA*300 or DA*60-250 until my water heater went out last month. I am pretty content with my K3. I have very few full frame lenses so my desire for a full frame camera is not great. Like Norm said buying a new camera model when it is first released may not be the wisest choice, K3ii vrs K3 or the K5 vrs the K5iis. I think I will wait awhile and let everyone else get the bugs out first.

On a whim I bought a film 645 for a fraction of the price of a ff. I'm still interested in the ff but the 645 is a ton of camera, it'll keep me busy for quite some time!

Like many people I have spent my FF, Lamborghini , and retirement on a custody battle. I do not regret it.
....for the price of one rim and one tire: FF money!
You should have kept at least one set!

I have blown $100 on a PZ-1 so I can test my DA glass properly on 36x24.

I can't see myself spending anything else on camera gear until the "Special K" is released; by then there should be some reviews on the 70-200 and hopefully a few new lenses announced.

I spent my FF savings on a Quarter pounder and medium fries.

Yeah, I didn't have much saved.

Ya, I did that, and then the closest film processor, 60 miles away stopped processing film. I thinking now I should start shooting black and white and developing at home.

Fwiw gpclabworks in Ottawa does colour 120 processing.

Black and white home development is a wonderful world, you should totally try your hand at it. I'm six months in and quite hooked.

I taught black and white film to hundreds of students over 14 years and had my own darkroom at home for 20 years. But thanks for the name of the lab.... what 645 did you get?

I know I posted earlier I bought old lenses but I would have bought those anyway. As it turns out, the emergency root canal, wisdom tooth extraction and porcelain crown wasn't covered by insurance since a regular dentist did them instead of an oral surgeon. My insurance carrier didn't buy the 'emergency' part of the deal since the surgeon was only booked eight days out. There's apparently something called Ibuprofen for excruciating, withering, "I can't work" pain.

So there went my hobby budget until January, 2017.

Yes, I passed on the F*300 with tripod foot and OEM case. I really don't have the money.

Doh, I think I'd heard you say that before on this forum. :P

I got the original 645. Nearly lost it in the lake today, thankfully a disaster was averted.
