Has anyone else spent their full frame savings on something else?

I got sick of waiting and recently spent all my full frame savings on audio equipment (a Power Sound Audio XV15 sub and a pair of Ascend Acoustics CBM-170 monitors). Boy do they sound awesome! Guess it's just me and my trusty old K30 for another year or so Has anyone else spent all their full frame savings?

I'm not saving for a FF although my K5 is 4 yrs old, having gone through a lot of hard use and surviving a motorcycle crash. Insurance fixed the bike but I spent a bit more with some custom paint. Then there was the grand I dropped on the new fishing kayak this summer. Winters coming and my skis are over 10 years old........Priorities.

My FF money was my tax return...so I won't get it for a while... the plan was the FF would be out in Nov. and by the time i got my tax money in may, the price would have dropped enough, to leave me money for other stuff. Now it's looking like I Might have to look at the 150-450 this year and the FF next year. I'm definitely not going to be an early adopter. The D610 is the camera the D600 should have been, the D810 is the camera the D800 should have been. I know a couple brothers, one who bought the D800, one who waited for the D810, I can tell you which one is the happy camper. I'll have to depend on all you Pentax enthusiasts with more money than me to carry the flag, for a while.

The Bigma? Here on the Marketplace! Great gear at good prices from reliable sellers. My new Bigma is like pristine new.....and only $1k of Mrs Rupert's savings, which leaves plenty for more good stuff!

Mrs Rupert's savings?
I help her form her banking and brokerage passwords...for "security purposes". The rest is easy!

Regards!

I have the opposite problem from Rupert... Wife knew I was sitting on FF funds then I made the mistake of telling her the recent FF news meaning acquisition is suspended until next year at some point... With our oldest starting college this month and bills piling (we know too many Bills)... You know the rest of the story...

That sounds way more like life around my house than Rupert's story.

I started this with a *ist. I have a k-5IIs now. I'm tickled pink.

Like many people I have spent my FF, Lamborghini , and retirement on a custody battle. I do not regret it.
