Did they really say that?

"Depriving these social animals of the natural and fundamental right to reproduce is inhumane, and we do not support this condition," said SeaWorld San Diego Park President John Reilly.
Keeping Orcas in captivity is OK though,

In the context you have presented it, I have no idea what you are talking about or referencing. However, if this turns into a political or animal rights debate, it will get shut down.

It's about the ridiculous things people say to justify their actions - if the 'right' to breed is a "natural and fundamental right" then not living in captivity must surely be a 'right' but the President of Seaworld obviously doesn't see the connection.

Otis does not want to get into any political feud...but he said he will support to the death the right to reproduce...by the millions...and from the looks around here, he practices what the preaches!

As for being a captive.....as long as the delivery of food and a cold beer are regularly scheduled, he says he could live with it.

Regards!
