That Oval Ball Sport

Congratulations Australia, not quite the result I'd hoped for, but a close run thing and great game.

It was indeed, and no doubt the result will be discussed for sometime too. Scotland certainly were brave and surely a team on the ascendence.

I was watching (at 2 AM) when you lot brought in the rain and I thought we were gone for sure. It is being referred to on the news here this morning as "a close run thing". We were certainly a hair's breadth from losing. But look on the bright side - Scotland, Wales and Ireland all made it to the quarter finals while England exited at the group stage. And if we make it past Argentina, we will probably face annihilation at the hands of the All Blacks. That may be more painful than losing to Scotland by two points would have been.

It was a tight battle, but two of Scotland's tries were were gifts from terrible passing. Great intercept though

The Pumas were very impressive in the last fifteen minutes of their game - it could be a very dangerous semi final.

Thanks for your generous spirit kd.

I'm not a big fan of either Union or League - hardly know the difference
But after our disastrous cricket tour, we are hanging on to national pride by our fingernails.
