Shocking!....Not...

If I have to hear about Carlos EstÚvez's "shocking" admission that he has HIV one more time, I'm going to throw something through the TV...

After 3 decades of having sex with every prostitute and porn star he could, and doing 2 tons of drugs, it is not a "shock".

Three decades ago when it first "lasted over 4 hours" he ditched his doctor and tried to cure it on his own.

Regards!

Mesia will put ANYTHING in 30 minute rotation to avoid discussing important world issues that might reflect badly on someone.

Even if it leaves an oily sheen on eberything it touches.

Emilio Estevez's brother. Better known by a stage name like his father.

Well, i have to ask google to know is charlie sheen, (sorry, i dont see many tv to know every name and stage name), but anyway, i saw pictures of him when he leave the show for rehab and come back looking ill, almost like 30 years older, on that moment i think that maybe he have cancer or something. But at this day well, he can obtain medicine to treat the vih and carry on on his life.

With all the negative news lately, at least Charlie has something positive to talk about.

In Australia, "root" is a substitute for that other four letter word which describes copulation, but which can also describe a state of ruination. "After thirty years of rooting, Charlie Sheen finds he is utterly rooted."

Indeed that is quite true, it always amuses me to hear in US interviews how fans are "rooting for their teams" although that in some cases may still be an accurate statement.

Fans have rooted for their teams in the copulatory sense since sports teams first existed, probably. The same applies to rock stars. Supposedly a Mel Gibson film had to have its promo stuff changed in Australia because it invited viewers to "root for the bad guy".

...and not in a good way.

Still HIV isn't a laughing matter, I know people who have have it and I know people who have died from the effects of the virus*. We have already lost many great artistic minds to this virus Keith Haring,David Seidner,Robert Mapplethorpe,Freddie Mercury,Ofra Haza . These days there are pharmaceuticals that can prevent contracting it (PrEP), but these preventative medications are expensive and have to be taken as religiously as those who already have the virus...and they can have nasty side effects.

I don't particularly care for Charlie Sheen's acting or much else to be honest, but his claims of being cured are absolute rubbish. With recent medications, you can control the progression of the disease but you will never be free of it.

*and sad to say, the stigma of having it. suicide rate of people (especially gay men) who have the virus is still high.
