I said elsewhere that, it is not always the team that deserves a trophy that gets it. In this case Spain well DESERVED the EuroCup. Look at their record from the beginning to the tournament.

strange enough the Russians as well as the German team looked like complete fools on the pitch when playing the Spaniards.
This does happen when you meet a team which you cannot match and which has the determination to really do it.
Congrats Spain you deserved it!

I gotta be honest here... as if Donadoni didn't make the Azzurri look like fools. He's gone and we get Marcello Lippi back. And that other fool Toni can go back to Bayern and start scoring again.

I think the problem with Italy was more with their midfield than with Toni. He just never really had a good ball.
The biggest disappointment was Pirlo. But hey, I hate the Italian soccer team. They are the most boring team to watch (maybe tied with croatia).

props to spain. spain's wealth is in central midfield with Silva, Xavi, Iniesta, Fabregas, Xabi Alonso and I didn't think that playing 3 or 4 of them at the same time would work, but the hard work of the strikers made it happen.

Perhaps its not the Team you hate but their style of playing - which is NOT for everyone.

Toni sucked - he wanted to be a EuroStar and consequently, he failed miserably.
