Newbies - what to do with a spam thread

Hi folks. A pretty nasty spam thread appeared on the forum today. As a new member of the forum I had no real idea what to do. All I could think of was to post Adam a private message and let him sort it out. Lucky he was online. He told me what to do next time, and I will pass that on to the newbies now. Use the little yellow triangular icon of the posted thread, fill out the form and send it. This alerts the moderators and hides the post. Women and junior members shouldn't have to see stuff like that. So please, if you think it is a spam thread, hide it and let the moderators sort it out. Kind regards pjv.

That's definitely the way to go, since multiple reports will automatically hide the thread from view.

We do have a pretty effective spam filter so it's rare for threads like these to actually become visible, but it's always good to be prepared. Thanks for the post!
