With you on this shocking news, the loss of such an influential artist.

Thankful for the memories a great musician creates.

Shocked and surprised to hear this on the news today. A unique individual and true innovator... Genuinely sad to see him go.

RIP, Ziggy...

David Bowie was incredable great as musical and in his roles in movie. His exhibition "David Bowie Is" is currently in The Netherlands in Groningen. I visit ted the exhibition on december 12th and that is absolutely fantastic to dive into the live of David as an artistieke.

Yep, I was upset as well by the passing of this great musical icon. He had tremendous talent and creativity.

Bowie was an artist whose medium was music. He did not like being called a musician, though he certainly had talent in that respect. I was sorry to hear of his passing.

A sad loss, but what an exit! -and perhaps a much needed spring in the step of those of us who were teenagers through the 70s, remembering what a new Bowie single was like. May he RIP

Yeah, he tried most things. He even did a Drum'n'Bass album, 'Heathen' - which is pretty good.

I had very very few "childhood heroes". During a very difficult adolescence he was one of those few. He made being an outsider easier throughout it all. To so many such outsiders David Bowie was a hero, not "just for one day", but for a lifetime. RIP.

---------- Post added 01-12-16 at 20:50 ----------

I picked up a new bass from Sam Ash this evening. David Bowie came up in conversation. None of the guys there had seen the video for "Blackstar" so I told them what an extraordinary piece of work it is.

I left the store, got in my car, and as I was pulling out one of the guys opened the front door of the store and I could hear Blackstar playing loud and clear into the street as I drove away. Lovely.
