Originally posted by RobA_Oz As a ‘48er myself, I’ll second that. I’m currently engaged in building myself a small workshop and greatly enjoying the experience, if not so much the lifting part. While my contemporaries were buying Camrys and the like, I got myself a hot hatch a few years ago. My wife is a ‘54 model, so I’d invoke Groucho Marx’s comment on a man’s age if I didn’t think it’d go down badly in some quarters.
I'm in the neighborhood, age-wise, with you all. I'll be 76 in April and looking forward to straddling my H-D Road Glide for some fresh air and freedom. Also looking forward to getting out for some more photography adventures. My wife will be 76 in March and she is still getting around well and keeping up with me, or am I keeping up with her? Anyway, life has been good and I plan on enjoying it for quite a few more years. Getting older beats the alternative. Also, getting older is inevitable but growing up is optional.
