The Commandments for Seniors……

You don't need anger management. You need people to stop ticking you off.

Your people skills are just fine. It's your tolerance for idiots that needs work.

"On time" is when you get there.

Even duct tape can't fix stupid – but it sure does muffle the sound.

It would be wonderful if we could put ourselves in the dryer for ten minutes then come out wrinkle-free...and three sizes smaller.

Lately, you've noticed people your age are so much older than you.

"One for the road" means peeing before you leave the house.

I thought it meant the one I take behind the car after starting down the driveway.

As a 74 year old.... my comment is "You ain't seen nothing yet." When I was 72 I was just a young man with dream.

As a 78 year old, I wish I were four years younger.

It's amazing how much difference each year makes once you cross 70.

AMEN! And few of the differences are welcome - excepting the accumulation of good times.

That is true - I know one thing:

Gravity gets stronger.

As a ‘48er myself, I’ll second that. I’m currently engaged in building myself a small workshop and greatly enjoying the experience, if not so much the lifting part. While my contemporaries were buying Camrys and the like, I got myself a hot hatch a few years ago. My wife is a ‘54 model, so I’d invoke Groucho Marx’s comment on a man’s age if I didn’t think it’d go down badly in some quarters.

I'm in the neighborhood, age-wise, with you all. I'll be 76 in April and looking forward to straddling my H-D Road Glide for some fresh air and freedom. Also looking forward to getting out for some more photography adventures. My wife will be 76 in March and she is still getting around well and keeping up with me, or am I keeping up with her? Anyway, life has been good and I plan on enjoying it for quite a few more years. Getting older beats the alternative. Also, getting older is inevitable but growing up is optional.

Weight must be the opposite of clothing because clothing is generally quicker and easier to take off than put on, whereas weight................................

Don't forget, the heavier you are, the harder you are to kidnap.

I may be getting older, but I refuse to grow up.

Back when I was teaching I used to tell the intellectually challenged that there were many jobs you can do if you just show up... some of them I gave credits for helping me keep the darkroom up, even though they didn't understand photography. (The VP would send a kid to my class and say "he needs one credit to graduate, make sure he gets it." And when I worked in cabinet making we could always use a "shop boy". But, if you don't show up, no one can employ you. SO this makes total sense to me.
