Sad to see that Sir Terry Wogan, the wonderful Irish - and adopted-by-the-British - broadcaster (and a legend at the BBC), has died at the age of 77 after a short battle with cancer

We didn't get his shows in Australia, except for his unique commentary on the Eurovision Song Contest - magical, side-splitting stuff!

Yes, that was my favourite of Wogan's activities. It was the only reason I watched the Eurovision - he was always extremely funny

Another sad loss,too early to cancer.I wish as much effort/money was put into defeating this and other evils like malaria,as is put into the unwinnable wars on drugs and terrorism.
