It's not often that someone over 30 can say that they are among the younger visitors... Most of the time on the internet I feel like a relic, just because I remember a time when not everyone had internetaccess or a computer... But you guys, you remember when you had to listen to the radio because there was no TV! When you took the horse to work and when australia was still a penal colony!

All the beer and wine in the world can't make up for the fact that everything "down under" wants to get you 6 feet under...

.... sounds like you watch a lot of TV....... it's just another strategy we utilise to keep people away..... that and the long flights* seem to work real well!

*we have a "flight tax" we pay in Australia, we subsidise the airlines with it to keep their planes in the air for an extra 6 hours per international flight (8 hours for Select countries) ..... it's not a well known secret that Australia isn't as far away as most people think.

so far showing over 50% of respondents over 45 - I think that's sorta in line within what I guessed - I wonder how it would compare with other forums?

I'm sixty.

SnapChat is so Dad now. As soon we find out how our children communicate we join up to lurk there and ruin it for them, so they move on to something else.

The fastest growing segment on Facebook the last three years running has been females over 50 - keeping track of their daughters. Instagram is loaded with dads' sardonic snapshots of the three-day wedding set-piece he's paying for (my turn is coming).

I won't do the college one where every other word is the F-bomb. What is it - YikYak? Not going there. That's how to keep us out - speak in tongues.

That is as insulting as saying "I thought anyone above 50 still tried to figure out how to "get on the line" and "surf the digital bulletin boards" and once there be overwhelmed with questions like "what internet is this?" And have tye very best of good fortune "It says here that I am the millionth visitor and I won a prize!" but maybe I was wrong"

My kids think my first job was working on the pyramids. Some days, it feels like they are right.
