How do you listen to your music on your PC?

Looking for alternatives to Winamp. Windows Media Player isn't an option. AIMP3 was a mess of problems. So, what else is there geared towards sound quality? I don't mind paying for a good media player, but which one?

I use Foobar2000 and MediaMonkey. Foobar more for sessioning the latest albums I've downloaded and MM for library and general playback.

I'm still using Winamp V5.5 - which isn't bad for a 13 year old music player.

Also would like to point out that playing FLAC files is a plus.

Yeah, I still have Winamp versions from before AOL took over. That's why I am looking for alternatives. I do agree, it is the best I have compared to what I have found so far.

Media (movies - as MKVs, music - as FLACs & pictures) all stored on a VortexBox (google is your friend). Playback via VLC; although I've been playing with Kodi lately. I would give VLC 4 1/2 stars.

An old pre 3.x version of winamp. Just new enough to support shoutcast, old enough to be lightweight and completely free of aol influence. Normally I'd listen to music via my set of creative 5.1 pc speakers, but since I share a household with the folks, I'm limited to headphones most times as not to annoy/wake them. So I end up listening to music via my yamaha studio monitor headset. I do miss having my creative audigy 4 pro installed in a tower, but the xp pro 64 bit drivers for that never worked since creative forces obsolescence via garbage drivers.

I don't really much, I have a Sony PHA-1 so I tend to use that with my iPhone and a Audio Technica M50.

I use Audacious with Linux Mint, and an old, but good Cambridge Soundworks 2.1 setup. VLC is a good media player that will handle most anything you can throw at it.

Winamp 5.63

it just works. It isn't broken, I don't try to fix it.
