I can't answer that...it made no sense, but they were caught in the act. Doing a search will show it is not that uncommon. Maybe payback for those dead squirrels we see in the roadways?

I spend a small fortune on squirrel feed.....sunflower seeds, corn, peanuts. I guess cars are sort of a gourmet treat for them?

Was downtown today....this is the guy that sold me the Jeep almost 19 years ago....special ordered, it took 3 months to get it.

He is a good guy....there are a few left and he is one of them. A straight shooter, no gimmicks, no tricks.

(Oh, on the fender-eating, sometimes animals will go for the road salt or otheminerals that come upfrom the road and stick there, so supplying an alternative and washing those fenders can help prevent that.
