Nor did I know dogs had thyroids! I found out last year they have gall bladders.
I always blamed my mother for my cat's diabetes. One or two of my dogs used to get medicine from the drug store (we actually got it for them as neither had any money) however was not able to put it on my health plan because it would not recognize the vet.
When I finally got a family doctor and went in for my first annual check up in over thirty years she found out that I had a thyroid problem and gave me medication, something or other ryroid in name and pretty quickly my tireness went away. One little pill once a day and I am on I think the lowest dosage and have been on the same since the doctor figured out the needed amount.
