By the way, the restaurant at this place in Missouri serves the very best BLT in the whole world. One half pound of bacon, with mayo, lettuce and tomato with a slice of cheddar cheese on two thick slices of grilled Texas toast.

The Quarter Pounder pales in comparison.

How many calories is that. Tess and I continue to lose weight although i seem to be stalled at 175. A half pound of bacon has 1,227 calories, the toast is probably 200 calories, that's 1,427. There's 113 calories in a slice of cheddar, and 60 in the mayo, for a grand total of 1600 calories. My intake for the day if I'm going to be 169 by May first is 1850. My calorie intake to maintain my weight is 2200 calories. I hope you guys are eating salads the rest of the day after having that for breakfast.

Great grub.

But.

Missouri still allows smoking in public places.

Bring some Febreze.

Hey, the lettuce and tomato offsets all those other calories.

Oh yeah, they also serve fresh, homemade apple dumplings with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

A must have!

I have noticed most restaurants (not fast food) these days advertise their burgers by their weight with fractional weights in parenthesis. My favorite diner has 4oz (quarter pound), 6oz, and even a huge 8oz (1/2 pounder) on the menu. Actually, I think the 4oz quarter pound is the kiddie burger. Quarter Pounder sounds big but after it's cooked, it looks like an oatmeal cookie.

All I know is that at A&Ws I like the toppings of the teen burger and the size of an grandpa burger. They make a double teen burger - why can't they make a triple teen burger

Maybe because the thought of more than two teens is frightening.

Once you retire from teaching, the thought of one is pretty frightening. I'm not saying I never want to see another one, but can we limit it to small doses in coffee shops?
