Why the quarter pounder is still king.

Sad facts of life...
Why No One Wanted A&W's Third-Pound Burger | Mental Floss

QuoteQuote:
More than half of the participants in the Yankelovich focus groups questioned the price of our burger. "Why," they asked, "should we pay the same amount for a third of a pound of meat as we do for a quarter-pound of meat at McDonald's? You're overcharging us." Honestly. People thought a third of a pound was less than a quarter of a pound. After all, three is less than four!

Once as a short of cash teenager, I did just that. They used to sell a burger for a dime. You could buy a burger with change you found on the street. I don't remember ever repeating the experience though.

There's a reason they're called 'Sliders'. Same reason a Genesee Cream Ale is called a 'Genny Screamer'.

I have a Realtor friend that has this on his desk front and center. No reason to guess why.

For squirrels, quarter pounders are about as much as they can safely carry.

The metric system clears up the complexity of the problem. Which is more, a 113 gram burger or a 150 gram burger? "But why would I want a graham burger??"
