I smoked pack and a half a day for 28 years, quit 8 years ago when they hit US$ 5.00 per pack, I still feel the effects...

I smoked about 2 packs per day for about 14 years. I quit by switching to Skoal, but i quit that 15 years ago.
At the time I started smoking I was in the Air Force. A carton (10 packs) cost $2.25 in the comissary.
No, thats not a typo. 22.5 cents per pack.

A packet of twenty Marlboros is probably $19 USD here, courtesy of taxes which are either punitive or making smokers contribute towards the community cost of their own future medical expenses, depending on your PoV.

Either way, it's much cheaper to vape, even if the flavoured liquid nicotine has to be purchased from the United States.

Nicotine juice is classed as a toxin here, and you can't buy it, unless you're a farmer acquiring it as an insecticide.

Same here. My father, uncle, and both grandfathers smoked. I was vehemently anti smoking. Right up until I started, that is.

Easy to start, hard as hell to kick the habit. My kid`s are playing with fire, unfortunately... Vaping... nephew does it. That second hand nicotine gets right in to me, wanting me to do it again!

I haven't smoked for nearly 30 years but to this day I occasionally get an urge for one when the smell of a freshly lit cigarette wafts by.
