Evidently you haven't had it cooked properly.

I've even made a burger out of ground bacon, topped with bacon, and bacon on the side.

Ok, I apologise. That was going to far, even when it comes to disliking bacon.

Ah yes. That's proper bacon. Goes very well with a couple of eggs, black pudding, fried tomato, a Cumberland sausage, baked beans, toast and a mug of EB tea. Maybe some mushrooms as well, if you're in that sort of mood.

Regards,
Richard.

Well, the desire is still there, but every few years I go to the doctor and he keep showing me this list of letters and numbers and telling me that I need to do a few things to get certain numbers lower.
Depending on which numbers, I suspect your doctor is wrong. Apart from the salt, bacon is fine. Just don't eat it all the time, and have less salt in other things.

Carbohydrates are the real enemy

Aye the best IMHO is Ayrshire smoked bacon... makes for the finest bacon roll in the morning, to be consumed with a large side order of coffee.

Surprisingly the so-called sweet tooth is not a universal among all cultures,
however without exception all cultures do prize food sources rich in fat.

Went grocery shopping today, came home with hickory smoked bacon and a pork shoulder (Boston butt) roast. Will be cooking Oinker here this weekend for sure!

Agreed. Sometimes, I like to swap the coffee out for a steaming mug of strong breakfast tea with a splash of milk... but I'm really a coffee man at heart, and at breakfast, something nice and strong, but not too bitter

I had to tick "I love bacon" as there was no choice of "I'll kill for bacon".

This may be a good time to again explain the difference between a contribution and a commitment:
With bacon and eggs, the chicken makes a contribution, but the pig makes a commitment.
