I love bacon. Cooked crisp, not soggy like my husband liked. He didn't like his bacon fully cooked. He said it was burnt if I cooked it like I have eaten since childhood.

Three slices of best-quality British back-bacon and a fried egg with runny yolk, sandwiched between two thick slices of freshly-baked white bread - one buttered, the other with a smear of HP brown sauce... One of life's greatest treats!

I eat bacon only occasionally, when having breakfast out - but only if there's no sausage!

I do like the smell though. There's nothing quite like it.

Lots of folks must love it; lately I see half an aisle devoted to bacon products at the supermarket.

Growing up in the 1960's in a family of seven a lot of bacon and eggs were eaten in my house.
I still remember the "grease cup" in the fridge, usually a mug with a broken off handle.
No doubt we're all still carrying around remnants of those many meals in our arteries.

Both of my sisters were vegetarians for years. Frances said the food she missed most was bacon.

Love it, but now that i am an official old fart, it is mostly a fond memory. However, a few year ago my wife found a pound of it hiding in the freezer for who knows how long and suddenly we were young again.

I don't understand. What does age have to do with the desirability of bacon?

My opinion on bacon is that one should not coat it in chocolate, put it in ice cream, or wear it as clothing.

When used appropriately, I love bacon.
