Cologne is quite O.K.
Lots of culture (museums, galleries, opera houses & theaters...) and a nice multi-cultural population of just under one million inhabitants, close to Belgium and France and (for a German city) lots of "open minded" young people.
Still, it's part of Germany and I just find the French (in general) to be so much more likeable, warm, open, direct, loving, honest etc...
I know, I know... So why are you not living in France???
Well, because, right now, it would be impossible for me to move to Paris for very personal reasons. Reasons I hope will have "gone away" soon. So for the moment I can only dream of "returning home" and visit as often as possible. Another thing I like about Cologne: It's only four hours to Paris by car or train
Cheers,
Michael
PS: Btw, which company would that be? And if you ever do come to Cologne (and I haven't yet moved to France or back to Israel), let me know. I don't mind playing "tourguide" now and then... That holds true for any forum member coming to "Colonia Claudia Ara Agrippinensium"
