What shoes should I wear when I shoot with a K-1?
Very stylish ones, befitting an acquaintanceship with a K1.

Hmmm, there's nothing in my wardrobe fitting that description (just ask my daughter ;~) I'd better put off getting the camera until I get the shoes.

Aye, but stylish is in the eyes of the beholder, I'm sure you could "cut a rug" in a pair of winklepickers.

I suggest weatherproof boots for a weatherproof camera:

Hunting and Sporting Clays Boots / Le Chameau Leather-Lined Men's Chasseur -- Orvis

Hey...I have worn Birkies for much longer than I have shot Pentax....are you aware that Birkies are now "fashionable" among many younger people? Go to any uni campus and have a look.

We Birkie-wearers are a decade or four ahead of the rest...we're trendsetters....nerdism is the new black.

BTW- found some really cool ones in Dubai recently - not even available here yet...oh the excitement in my life!!!

Long live Pentax-shooting, birkie-wearing nerds!

You do realise that all those 24 year old hipsters dressing up like 64 year olds are being ironic, right?

How can I talk ... you're a fellow Aussie, Snpsht, so you know what I mean when I say that I own a pair of Crocs!

Alligator loafers with matching alligator belt and a silk shirt...with fancy pants. I'm gonna be a Pro with the K1, gotta dress the part!
Goodbye farm pants, farm boots and straw hat!

Classic white leather "Elvis" loafers, aka Cousin Eddie shoes. Maybe some striped high-water bell bottoms for added flair.

Hahaha
I own two pairs of crocs...one pair is even fleece-line for winter!

But they're not pink.

Sartorial irony is difficult to distinguish from being a tasteless hack.

I am glad the k1 is backwards compatible with all footwear ever produced including all third party boots. I am not ready for a pair of Chuck Taylor all star custom prides.

I seasonally alternate between my Red Wing boots and my Duck Commander Camo Crocs. My redneck heritage cannot be denied!

My daughter would approve (but WR fail, I suspect). I do have a pair of waterproof Merrill boots that I got on sale. When I take them off after a day of wear, they smell--not so faintly--of cat pee (which I guess explains the one-off price) They're great for wandering the bottom-lands but I'm thinking probably not a good match with the K-1 because, you know, the cat thing.

The k1 might be cat pee resistant but not cat pee smell resistant.

I can't believe you asked this.
Everyone knows that your shoes are supposed to match your bag.

Geesh!
