At first, I worried that I would only be able to wear HD digital shoes with a K-1, but then someone reminded me the K-1 is backwards compatible and I could wear my old film shoes, even the ones that I had to screw onto my feet back in the Sixties.

Hey guys, are you also wearing pants while out and about shooting with your K-1? I forgot to put mine on the day I got my K-1, and ran outside to shoot photographs. I ended up fielding a lot of questions about the new camera that day.

shoe color w/ K-1?

For a fashion statement it would make sense to wear electric blue shoes embedded with LED lights -- the better to match the unique LEDs in the K-1. This is particularly important during those long summer nights when you are using astrotracer.

I'd be worried about shrinkage on a chilly Colorado day ... a 'scared turtle', as George Costanza would say.

A valid fear. But it does make one more aerodynamic!

Quality waterproof hiking boots or, in certain situations, a good pair of Wellies is all you need.

I'm a big fan of adidas Supernova Glide Boost 7. Comfortable, attractive when in black, and it makes people think you exercise But really, if you walk a lot the cushioning will be quite useful (there are Boost models with even more cushioning too), and so is the Continental branded sole that has good grip and lasts a long time. These shoes are particularly good when you have issues with your knees.

Plus when shooting video it will be more stable when wearing these shoes.

I gotta confess.....I can't keep on living as a fake and a fraud. I was a K1 Pro for almost a week and it was not very satisfying. Squirrels laughed at my outfit and even some old ladies at the grocery store made rude remarks. The fancy pants were uncomfortable and the silk shirt was too chilly on some mornings. My feet hurt with every step in those alligator loafers and squirrels kept yelling out...."Loooky! A big gator has old Rupert...get him gator!"

So I have reverted back to just plain old amateur Rupert. Got on my Farm Boots and Farm Pants....

And my favorite Farm Hat.....it was my Grandads and is almost 100 years old and still in great shape.....a little Gorilla tape holds the top on, but otherwise it is just perfect!
I kept the dark shades to hide my "amateur shame"....I did try and failed, comfy is better than famous!

That Toy Camera is more my speed anyhow...

Laugh if you want, but at least I came clean and didn't try to keep deceiving you guys.

Regards
Regular Old Rupert
