A back support if carrying certain lenses! Back this up (no pun intended) with seriously comfy footware approriate for the (forecast) weather which will maintain a steady, safe posture for the environment in which you are taking pictures. From experience light weight trainers do not mix with soggy, muddy, rough ground on a day that has correctly been forecast to be (very) rainy at time.)

I use my Sorel winter boots...they're rated for -74 C. A bit sticky in the summer, but other photographers know I'm serious when they see me with my Sorels..
