What shoes should I wear when I shoot with a K-1?

The K-1 mania just tickles me. It's fun to see everyone so excited!

Ricoh has produced such an (apparently) outstanding product in the K-1, that the joy is contagious. Much of it from pent-up FF demand, obviously. I don't need a FF camera but feel like buying it just because it's such a show-stopper*

*and might well have, if I hadn't been forced to dump $3500 into my truck's engine just recently.

I have to say this is a technically demanding question, having run the question past some of my colleagues the consensus is that wearing something weather resistant is appropriate.

To fit in with the old nerd stereotype of Pentaxians, you should have Birkenstocks.

For evening shoots I wear black pumps, daytime thongs or steel caps, mornings I wear rubber boots. ( I don't shine the pumps)

Hey...I have worn Birkies for much longer than I have shot Pentax....are you aware that Birkies are now "fashionable" among many younger people? Go to any uni campus and have a look.

We Birkie-wearers are a decade or four ahead of the rest...we're trendsetters....nerdism is the new black.

BTW- found some really cool ones in Dubai recently - not even available here yet...oh the excitement in my life!!!

Long live Pentax-shooting, birkie-wearing nerds!

I would recommend some very good, very sturdy walking shoes or hiking boots depending on the situation. The reason being is that maybe people will get off of their backsides and go to some inconvenient places to go take pictures of things that every other person out there won't get to.
