I bought the $99 cruiser at Walmart, on sale for $88 delivered IIRC.
Single gear, coaster brake, aluminum frame, wide tires and saddle.
I'm confident it's made in the same Chinese factory as some $500 bikes.

It's well-suited for a leisurely ride on the streets and boardwalk here in Rockaway,
and was cheap enough not to worry about too much about theft.

When I saw your thread title, I was going to say I could buy a few K-1's for what I expect to drop on the bike I'll be building soon haha...

Things sure are a lot cheaper in the USA You can spend over $AUD600 = $US442 (reduced from $708.84) here on an 11 speed cassette. Campagnolo Record 11 Speed Cassette That's the Hasselblad H6D-100C.
