M7.3 earthquake just hit Fukushima...again!

It was a good shake this morning, and I think I have a way to forecast an up coming large earthquake now.
So I got up 5:30 as always, I went to toilet and the first thing I notice was the water in toilet bowl were all gone! Then 5:59, the earthquake.

It is the 3rd times I see this.
The first time was back in 2011, the M9.0 quake. back then I remember I saw the water disappeared from toilet bowl a day in advance. I though it was strange. then the next day, it was this huge quake which last longer than 7 minutes in Tokyo. It was M 9.0 earthquakes then very soon it was another 8 something aftershock in Fukushim and the shock-wave merged somewhere north of Tokyo so people in Tokyo get to taste a 7+ minutes long shakes. in fact, it was terrible.

This morning was long too. Tsunami warning has been issued soon but nothing compare to what happen back in 2011. I hope it won't father more damage the meltdown Nuclear power plant in Fukushima.

From NBC news :
A strong earthquake hit Tuesday morning off the east coast of Japan near Fukushima, the site of the 2011 earthquake-spawned tsunami that killed almost 19,000 people, Japanese and U.S. agencies said. The Japan Meteorological Agency put the earthquake at magnitude 7.3 and issued a tsunami warning for Fukushima Prefecture and urged immediate evacuations. The first wave, measuring about 2 feet, arrived in Onahama port in Iwaki City in Fukushima Prefecture at 6:49 a.m. (4:49 ET Monday), the weather agency reported. Tsunami advisories were issued for a wide area of Japan's Pacific coast, including Miyagi and Iba prefectures...

thank you,
at this hour, no damage has been reported yet. I guess, the earthquake alone will not cause much damage here. the real damage often cause by large Tsunami which so far, this earthquake seem to create only small to mid size Tsunami. so the real concern is on the Fukushima nuclear power plant. Japan should never build a nuclear power plan in the first place!

Thank you for posting, and I'm very glad you're ok, and that the damage appears minimal. How strange about the water disappearing out of the toilet bowl, I wonder what causes this?

I know that water is drawn from close ashore out to sea as a Tsunami is formed. That is one of the classic warning signs for those on the coast, the ability to see and explore areas of the sea floor not ordinarily revealed by low tide.

I doubt it, but if the water in the bowl is somehow connected to the sea, possibly there would be a vacuum drawing down the water????

or pipes broken by the quake causing the water to flow out???

I do know for certain that people all over the world are hoping for the best for those affected in Japan and New Zealand by the recent earthquakes.
