I think you need something between the serious shooter and technocrat. You know the person that tries to do a little of both. Wants to shoot seriously....wants to understand the technocrat and speak their language. Spends alot of time reading here...not so much posting but does want to....maybe a little intimidated by the heavy hitters. This type of member probably loves the whole art of photography..maybe has shot as a hobby for years and years. Is generally confident in their skills but knows they have a ton to learn and always will. This member probably likes the atmosphere here alot...so much its probably one of the few places he or she visit...don't know what you'd call that member ...but what ever you did...that would be me.

New category.....The Destroyer: No faster way to destroy a thread than to post some bagpipe "sounds"...or whatever you chose to call them?

I guess my excellent drawing really hit you in the "envy" category......Sure, I haven't been able to transfer my abilities over to my photography, but if I ever do..."Look out world!"

that's me too - how about the photography enthusiast?

PS - what about the Doom Merchant - not a troll, as no intent to upset others, just a very negative attitude to everything Pentax.

type of poster

hmm, what type of poster am I????

what are the choices again???

The Serious Shooter: how to put this: No Way

The Technocrat: Don't make me laugh

The Troll: they belong under bridges and they turn into stone when exposed to light.

If some one only posts indoor or night photos to the forum they could be one ---- or they could be a vampire

The Joker: Who, Moi???

The Lurker: you have to be kidding me

new category:

untalented photographer not funny with comments and puts way too much comment with their pictures: kinda sounds like me.

Maybe could add;
Cognoscenti
They know!
Very handy to ask for information about almost anything photography, camera, lens and accessories on this forum.
Also handy to ask for information on non-related subjects, even bagpipe music.

I'm part Irish and I was taught not to try to anger anyone

especially the Irish:

we don't get mad, we don't get even

we get ahead

(which is one of the reasons it is very hard to solve a dispute between those who are Irish)
