Virtual vacations pull out the stops to compete with the real thing
about Virtual Reality Vacations instead of real ones. I'm Sure they could be fun, but it kind of puts a cramp on why my camera comes with me... Not to mention, I'm sure the drinks and food don't stimulate the senses....or that seabreeze or mountain air. Maybe when we develop Star Trek Hologram level VR....It will compete with real vacations, but even Starfleet needed real shoreleave! So what do you think?
Personally I have to agree with the closing quote...
Quote: A virtual trip is still "not anywhere near a real-world vacation," said Todd Bishop, co-founder and editor of tech website GeekWire. "It's hard to imagine virtual reality matching the experience of sitting on the beach with a Mai Tai in your hand."
