Greetings all,

When I was 19yrs old a friend and I decided to start taking flying lessons. The motivation was to eventually fly executives of General Motors to meetings around the country. Anyway, I signed up right away. When I reported for my fourth lesson, I advised the young lady at the desk of my name and that I was here for my next lesson.

She advised me that the school now has two issues to deal with. Number 1 was that my instructor had taken off with the office safe. My reply was, "Well, I am very sorry to hear that, but you have another instructor". She advised me by saying, "Well, that is the other problem, that my instructor not only took off with the school's safe, but he also took off with the plane. )) (This was a one plane school.) I believe they found him somewhere in Reno, Nevada a few days later. He never did get the safe opened.

I've heard some strange stories about cancelled appointments, but yours rates right up there near the top. I hope you finally got your lesson.

Actually I did not. Within a week or ten days after this event, we had to ship out to Germany for quite some time. Just my luck.
