I know, eh? I bought my FA 43mm Ltd partly as a result of seeing the images that @pepperberry farm; had posted. Oh well, I guess I'll have to learn to suffer with it.

there was nothing wrong with the lens, I just liked what the DA40 Limited improved upon it....

after realizing that, no reason to keep a high-dollar lens...

Sold my LX. Now I wonder what's more silly, selling an LX or having it and not using it?

Never sell an LX* - if you have one it is your moral duty to use it.

* IIRC I made a similar response RE the 43

yeah, I know. It's not the LX, it's the 35mm format! Just doesn't work for me

I have a similar conundrum with a working 645 and lenses. What to do? - What to do?

Me too. I have been holding onto an Angenieux P1 90mm f/1.8 (made in the mid-1950's). I don't use it much, but it's a fantastic lens. I know that if I sell it, I'll never be lucky enough to get another one. What to do? What to do?

Why would you sell it if you can give it away and have that nice feeling of having done something selfless. I am not too far

Yikes! I’ve never even seen an Angeniux lens.

Indeed, philanthropy is a noble endeavour. However, I also must be cautious to not feed the addictions of others.

The Angenieux lenses of the 1950s appear on eBay periodically, and there are a few web sites that feature real-world images. The 90/1.8 that I have is in the uncommon M42 mount. I find that it produces wonderful bokeh, smooth out-of-focus transitions, dramatic image ‘depth’, and very pleasing colour.

On the other hand, I also have a pristine S-M-C Takumar 85/1.8, which I use occasionally.

I have an Auto-Tak 85/1.8 + a K85/1.8. I should be good but LBA is a cruel mistress.
