My A 28mm f/2.8 has just been sent off. It served me well on trips to Japan and Italy but I haven't used it for years and have other 28mm options I prefer overall though it's a focal length I use rarely these days.

The 50/1.4 Tak I sold disappeared with the shipping company who are refusing to re-imburse me, as is the app I sold it through, since I was given no receipt for it since I was told one wasn't needed and I saw the woman scan it in.
Thatís not cool. Have you been able to talk to the owner?

Every year I accumulate several hundred postal receipts, and always gripe about it when I eventually shred them. But it's stories like this that remind me why I continue to insist on getting the things, even if it makes sending things slightly less convenient or more expensive...

I am the owner - I sold it to a guy and it never arrived so I have no lens and no money

I will not be using that delivery company again. Anything that I'm instructed to send through them I'll have to regretfully cancel the sale in the app. Unfortunately I think it decides on the courier when you add the advert rather than when the sale is confirmed so cancelling and selling again is unlikely to resolve it by assigning a different courier.

Wrong owner. I meant the Owner of the service used.

Sold my Mindshift Gear messenger camera bag. Its aood bag, but ended up being a smidge too small & bulky when I put my "go out & shoot street photos" gear in it (which ended up being more than I thought, even though I try to keep it minimal).

Also forgot that monday is a federal holiday & USPS is closed that day, so I'll have to wait till tuesday to mail it out.
Welp, USPS Is USPSing again. Mailed it out package on the 20th (tuesday) & it got to the usps distribution center in the guys city (Springfield, MO) on Friday, so it *could* have been delivered that day (a day early, btw) since the D.S. is ~3 blocks away from the guys place (a 15 minute drive away, at most). Its been showing "Moving through network, In Transit to Next Facility, Arriving Late" since saturday night 😤🫠

Update: finally got delivered

Sold a Sony LA-EA3 A mount to E mount adapter. I had gotten rid of my Tamron SP 70-300 and my Sony G 70-300 SSM a while back. Nothing earth shattering in A mount came up since to compel me to keep it.

Sold a Sony 28-70 f3.5-5.6 OSS since I almost never used it and only bought it originally to give me a standard lens that was E mount when I first got my a7R III and my dad was telling me the 24-105 I had at the time was a loaner. He later gifted me the 24-105... so the 28-70 was almost never used. I have a 24-70/4 and a Tamron E mount 70-300 that may also be looking for a new home soon.

My understanding is that the Sony 28-70mm kit lens is rubbish anyway, from everything I've read.

For my part, I'll shortly be sending out my Takumar 28mm f/3.5 which hasn't impressed me. If I need a wide angle on M42 I can use my Tamron adaptall 24mm.

Honestly, I can say with certainty that you can take good images with the 28-70Ö but it has limitations. Iíd say that itís far better than people try to suggest - because optics have almost ridiculous standards today. The 28-70 is far less awful on a 24mp than a 61mp - but itís also far less awful if youíre not obsessed with corner to corner wide open performance. In the end I just had too much gear. I still do.

amazing camera, but ponderous weight, slow reaction times, and the ever-creeping knowledge that I was using up the camera's lifespan every time that huge mirror/shutter fired....

I got a decent deal on the sale of it, plus the camera I've replaced it with is going to be a blast....

Wow, that's quite a clean-out.

I imagine you have a Fujifilm GFX of some kind on the way, as most Pentax 645 users have migrated to these days. Some lenses for 35mm film cameras will cover the image circle so it's probably worth investigating.

I have tried to bring myself to sell my K-3 but I can't do it.
