In the current process of de-acquisition :
- my dear K5II (you did good in Greenland <3 )
- 200mm f4 6x7 (no more 6x7 to use it)
- Kodak Instamatic 177x
- Agfalux flash
- Agfa Silette LK (i already have it from my grand parents, so no need to keep this one)
- Yashica Mat (pretty beat up, never really got used to 6x6)
- Olympus AZ 1 (cheap compact my parents used to use).

Thinking of buying an appartement, so i sell all the things that i don't want to have to pack in few months !

Recently sent my last three film cameras to Eric for parts, two K1000s, one MZ-7 and it had the FG-grip attached, one K1000 had desilvered prism, the other had parts of the knobs missing, and meter wasn't working, the MZ-7's focusing screen was scratched and I wasn't planning on shooting film anymore. I figured Eric could make better use of them than I could, sitting in a box in my closet gathering dust.

Does it count if it's not sold yet?

After acquiring the 28-105, I've decided to sell my 16-85mm. I'll be sad to see it go but having a fully FF kit will be best for me.

My wife is leaving for the Holy Land tomorrow. I'll have nothing to do but take photos of gear and list it in the Marketplace.

Pentax FA 28-105/3.2-4.5 AF IF.

A good lens overall, but i never use it : i always go for a prime instead, or the K 75-150/4 for the long end.

Since the 16-50, i have hard time finding any zoom that is close enough in rendering of the rest of my Pentax prime or zoom.

Lent a Tamron AD-2 90/2.5 MACRO 52B with extra OEM accessories to a member. Ended up letting him keep the kit in exchange for “consideration”.

And so it officially begins. I have to refresh the hole in my financial plan after a year of buying things.

I'm glad I could be the beginning of your plan...

Pentax Forums 2018 Holiday Giveaway - Film Edition

For anyone interested I just started a holiday giveaway thread in the film SLR forum.
This is an opportunity for those with extra film gear to pass it on to others for re-use.

Just gave away two beat up K1000s and 2x28-80mm lenses - overall deterioration and mirror decay and prism decay etc. Was going to do a project and refinish them in a colour spray etc but a friend will turn them into art works of some kind - good to be gone...

I'm going to miss this lens, but... having purchased a FA 20-35 and converted the 60-250, the next logical step was to replace the 16-85 with the DFA 28-105 and have a completely full frame kit. So I did.

Yesterday I sold my 16-85. It has served me exceptionally well, traveled to lots of places with me, and been very reliable. I hope I grow to like the 28-105 as much as I did the 16-85.

I need to clear up my flat before Christmas (expecting guests) so I finally bit the bullet and threw out fifteen or so faulty Zenit and Praktica bodies that are too far gone to be worth fixing, five or six lenses too full of fungus to be sellable or give to charity, and some dead flashes. Probably more to come.

That must be a painful operation. I feel your pain.
