My GF can handle my K5ii anytime..

I wonder if a K1 would be too heavy or too much for her..

K5ii 740g (battery included),
K1 1.010 g (battery included).

I had the K1 for a couple of time, the weight is as you if you attach a grip on your K5.
For me it was to heavy. I prefered my K3ii. My girlfriend has still the K5, especially because of the weight.

there are a couple of companies to rent equipment from

I have used LensRental.com out of Tennessee with success

https://www.lensrentals.com/

check them out

be sure to buy the best protection plan they offer just in case

be aware you might end up wanting to buy any equipment you rent from them

that is my history but luckily I have been able to find most of it by checking out the Market Place here on the forum

If she likes photography, she probably would be willing to deal with the extra weight. The big question really isn't the camera it is the lenses. A 70-200 f2.8 is quite a bit heavier than the 50-135 f2.8 for example. With primes she would definitely be fine.

Thanks all..She does love taking pics with her KR, which is very light with the kit lens..She has no problem handling my K5 without the grip..But we probably be buying a K1 by November, but Im concerned if it will be too heavy for her, in case she needs to use it..
