Boeing airliners - have you collected the set?

I read a story about United retiring its last 747 from its fleet. I was wondering if anyone has flown on all the 7x7 planes. I'm missing the 787, but because we lived in Hawaii, have flown on all the rest.

I'm missing the 717. I might have flown on a 720 (Eastern Airlines) but I'm not sure. I've flown on all the others, not counting variants.

My favourite is the 747, definitely Queen of the skies IMO.

From what I remember, I have flown on the 727, 737, 747, 757 and 767.

707 was before my time, and I believe I've flown the 747 (Swissair.) I vaguely recall walking past the stairs. Done all the others, including a special 787-9.

As you know, 747s are disappearing. I was a kid when I flew it, and I wouldn't mind another flight. Delta's transpacific flights are sometimes tempting, but when the alternative is a codeshare flight on a 4- or 5-star Asian carrier, nostalgia loses, every time.

I've never flown any of Boeing's airplanes. They won't even let me in the cockpit.

Silly, the OP asked about flying on the planes, not flying the planes. I've tried. Security chases me off the wing before takeoff

Tom S. and I will be here all week. Try the veal.

Old enough to have flown on a 707: 727, 737*; 747 St. Louis - Gatwick + Heathrow often, and Amsterdam, 757 and 767. Almost all the older planes were TWA, this being St. Louis.

* Since this is now a Southwest-controlled City it would be interesting to contemplate how many 737 variants I’ve flown. The last was a brand new (like 3 days) 737 MAX 8 that carried 168 + crew for 175 seats. It was ginormous for a 737.

I once flew the first 727 airframe put in service. It was a United Flight and the Captain made a big deal about the fact that the plane would go to the Boeing museum at the end of that month. IIRC the Builder’s Plate had been mounted next to the flight deck door to confirm the fact. I don’t recall for certain whether the plate number was actually 001, but I believe it was.

They let me in the cockpit of a 767 once...but I was 12, and it was long before 9/11, a time when you could do such things if you boarded early enough.

Aloha was still flying 737-200s in regular scheduled passenger service, like 8 times a day, until they went bankrupt in 2008. I know I've been on a -200. There are only 30 -100s so maybe I missed those. The problem is that until recently, 737s were so forgettable. I started to notice the -700s because of the winglets, and the -800s because of the interiors. There are almost 10,000 of them altogether.

I’m not quite that old, but I have been a passenger in a Boeing-Stearman.

I flew to the States in 1971 in a Finnair DC-8, got a whole tour of the cockpit of course.
Pardon the Douglas twist...

The short story is a friend owns one and offers flights to young people. I volunteer for one of the referral organizations. One Sunday we had an unbooked hour.
