Sad news

I didn't see a thread for this already (I always saw him more on Flickr), but Rupert has moved on to his next adventure.

Actually there are three different places on this forum that have talked about Rupert's passing but only two you'd have access to, the WIWBAK3 and the "Got Squirrels Shots" in the non Pentax forum. Plus one on the homepage giving information about Rupert/Jim's life here.

I was in the wrong squirrel thread when I came earlier. Thanks for pointing me to the right one. I bought my son Rupert's K20D a few years ago.

Sorry to hear about his passing. He brought a lot of "life" to the old politics thread. I enjoyed his postings.

Maybe the lounge thread should be relocated to here?

That's okay where it is Bert since we have an announcement on the Home Page, also. These other threads have it covered pretty much.

I miss Rupert, and will never forget how kind he was to me and a lot of other members.

He's one I would gladly ride the river with anytime.

Sad and shocking news. I have not been very active lately due my own health issues. Rupert was one the first members I got to know here. He helped me get through the learning curve of my Sigma 50-500. He gave so much useful advice that I still use today. My condolences go out to your family. You will certainly be missed around here. Everytime I see a squirrel I will be thinking of you buddy.

I've wondered about his recent "silence".

RIP, old friend.

Saddened to hear. There goes someone from a very different world, that managed to become a pretty fun Net-friend.

I'll, see about leaving some squirrels a bit of a treat in the morning.

Rupert brought so much to the Forum. He was fine person, always encouraging and sharing knowledge about photography, places, food, friends, construction, and Otis, of course. He will be missed.
