How much does this glass hold in liters?.

This glass says Blanche de Chambly on it which is brewed in Canada at Unibroue. It's at least 18" tall and 5-6" across the top.My estimation says it hold 7-8 liters of ilquid? It's filled with wrapped double bubble gum and the 50-50 goes to the closest guess which will be probably be won by someone without a clue.I can't find this glass anywhere by searching. Maybe my Forum friends can help in my quest.Half the proceeds go to a local soldiers home in the Boston area.Have some fun with this. I have until half time on Super Bowl Sunday. Thanks to all my Forum friends --charliezap--The pic doesn't do it much justice--it is a huge glass.

Using my limited math skills and your guess on the size of the glass...

(6 Inch Diameter Divided by 2) = 3 Inch Radius
3 Inch Radius × 3 Inch Radius = 9
9 × 18 Inches Height = 162
162 × 3.14159 = 508.93758 Cubic Inches

Accepting that and guessing the size of a piece of double bubble gum to be 1 cubic inch then my guess would be in and around 500.

Please be warned I'm lousy at math and I have no real idea on the size of the gum but 500 is a nice round number.

I'd take out 30 for the taper at the bottom.

Not a bad guess--another piece of info is that i filled a 24 oz container with 60 pieces of gum and went from there and came up with 680 pieces for 8 liters.---charliezap

Had some time to kill before supper...

From a rough 3D model of your sketch, and the image:

I get a volume of 559 cu in. or 9.16 liters (309 fluid oz)

2.5pcs per oz (based on your 60pcs for 24 oz), and I'd say 772 pcs (rounded down)

I work with someone that enjoys doing 3D modeling and 3D printing among with designing printed circuit boards and circuits.
Nothing nerdy about that!
edit: my WAG was going to be about 8 litres before getting sidetracked.

Thanks for the info. I was figuring around 8 liters and with 85 pieces of gum per liter that would be 680 pieces. I'm going to add your number of 772 as another of my guesses---thanks for the help.--charliezap

What an utter waste. Filling a beer glass with bubblegum.
