I think my music taste is really weird, considering what I have been listening recently.

The week began with Johnny Cash. Greatest hits, American IV, American V. All are great and I think I know every song by heart now.

In the second half of the week I turned to classical music. Tschaikowsky Symphony nr. 5 is a real masterpiece.

Now it is the weekend and since yesterday evening I haven't listened anything but Justin Hawkins and his band the "Hot Leg". This guy has always been a god for me. It is a pity the Darkness went apart, but I think his new band is way better. By the way, his latest video "Cocktails" has some fantastic photography (exceptional lighting!).

Ah, Juno Reactor. Good stuff.

(remembering I wanted to get hold of some Vernian Process this month. I'm really liking the pretty stuff from Steampunk, Gothy prettiness with new themes. )

I'm really glad to see someone other than myself appreciates Juno Reactor.

Onto something with just as many lyrics, but an entirely different atmosphere:

I have been in a few rock bands in my time. In one band I opened for Slaughter and Night Ranger (different shows), which shows my age a little.

Last three shows I have been to were:
Another Animal/Alter Bridge
Sick Puppies/Evanescence
Ozzfest - Ozzy/Lamb of God/Static X/Lordi and more

Other bands I've seen:
Metallica; Mudvayne; Iron Maiden; Black Sabbath (original members); Black Label Society; Killswitch Engage; Shadows Fall; In Flames; Van Halen (with Hagar, twice); Sammy Hager (solo, twice); Night Ranger; Motley Crue; Firehouse; Tesla; Pat Travers; Dream Theater; Queensryche; and a bunch I can't remember.

There's the Beatles.........then everyone else.

Hot punk, cool funk, even if it's old junk it's still rock n' roll to me.

This band comes up every once in a while. Were they important to music and culture or something? I've never listened to them. "Guitar bands are on their way out."
