I commented in the Tamron 70-300 thread that my current copy has a stiff focus ring.. I had not used the lens for a few months, so took it out this morning and find its *really* stiff, like its freezing up more each day.

Is there anything I can do about this, myself? Or will I simply have to write it off. Its not a recent purchase and no longer under warranty.
