Professional musicians never think we are really qualified for our job either.

I had a small faux painting and mural business for over 20 years in Florida and NC.

Started working life as an accountant. One minor issue was that I hate exams, at least I hate exams in subjects that I don't find interesting. The upshot was that I never qualified so never got letters after my name. After about 22 years I decided to do something far more exciting and moved into IT and implemented financials packages. 26 years later I took voluntary redundancy and now do absolutely sweet FA. The hours are great but the pay is nowhere near as good.

I'm a professional amateur.

I doubt I will ever really be qualified.

I'm an attorney and adjunct professor. I also take some photographs using something called a "Pentax" (pronounced "Pen Tax").

Had to look it up - yes, I remember seeing Charlie's video years back. It was a good reminder to view his story again. It is easy to get complacent with safety.

Unfortunately can't take the Pentax thru the gate, There would be a lot of creative shots I could get in there.

When I drove trucks I delivered a load of portable light trailers to a refinery in Tonkawa, Oklahoma. I shot a bunch of pictures as I drove through the plant, one handed, with the camera set on full auto. Sadly the autofocus missed on nearly every one, mostly focusing on bugs on the windshield.

Reminds me of when a particularly annoying 19 year old next door told me that my kids were too noisy while playing in my yard, since he was working on a major project for his very important new job. When he asked what I did for work, I told him that I pushed drugs for a living, and when things didn't work out the way I planned, people got cut up in all kinds of interesting ways.

I retired from surgery over 5 years ago, but "retired" to a full-time post in IT
