I'm just here to add one more post. 1600 might seems like a lot of posts, but bertie and I have gone over 100 in day a few times. It kind of burned me out the first one, but really 32 people 50 posts each, and we're there. On a forum of 70,000, you'd think it would be little easier.

I'm retired, so I could spend most of a weeday doing this if I wanted to {my wife expects to see me most of weekends}. Bertie and I did each go over 100 "yesterday" as the PF counts days. We, as a group, did go over the needed number yesterday. Yes, we can do this, but you are right, it will require a bunch of people posting a few more times each day than they had been posting.

I know I'm in your head when you start thinking of my response before I do.

It does save me time in typing though.

No, practical.
I haven't seen much improvement in what is available since Pentax released it
Well, in the interest of post count and full honesty, I've hesitated for what you are referencing. I shoot enough flower pictures I'm interested in hand help pixel shift, but I'm worried that the smallest movement of the flower in a breeze will be beyond what it can account for. I'd like faster AF, but where AF speed matters to me most is chasing birds and my dog and a few other things that I do almost exclusively with my K3 II because I prefer crop when working with telephoto, and the 55-300PLM and my K3 II does very nicely, and I find I'm using my 150-450 on my K3 II more than on my K-1 for the extra reach of crop. I like the idea of improved high ISO performance, but then I think I just need to spend more time improving my post processing skills. So I sit on the fence and try to read as much here (and elsewhere) that I can about the performance and wonder if I should pull the trigger on sending it in or not. Then there's the question of what the next APS-C body will be, the next full frame release and so forth. It has slowed me down from a yes to a hesitant maybe.

If I have a better camera, it'll take better pictures for me. No brainer, eh?

Indeed. The more you spend, the better the resulting images. All the best photographers have expensive cameras...so the logic is undeniable.

I've been averaging about 40 posts a day for the last few days, and it's not as easy as I thought to keep coming up with something to say -still it's good to feel part of a concerted effort to achieve something, even if its almost certainly for somebody else

Well, someone will get a better camera, and thus get better pictures. Obviously. So it's all good.

I get to feel, and of course actually be, vastly superior to all the riff-raff with "lower ISO" cameras.

My camera is noisier than your camera! More is better, right?
