What happened on 12-17-12?

According to the number of users on line info at the bottom of the home page there were 12,641 users on the forum that day. Anything special going on? Does anyone remember it?

at 5:55pm... I see a few names I recognize as currently active members, maybe someone knows... not me, I've been around since 2017 (forums, pentax user for at least 10 yrs)

It says Users online at one time but not always all are members.

This is the exact language the page uses: The record number of concurrent users was 12,641 on 12-17-12

Where did or do you see that? Because I'm on Firefox on a laptop computer, and mine doesn't show up like that. It shows current users online, like this:

I think it depends on which browser and/or tool you use to view online.
On Chrome It appears just to the right of what you see. You can also change the layout of the screen at the very bottom of the page. That may affect what you see also.

That's interesting, I'm curious to know what was going on also. I see a lot of names I recognize, including @photolady95 and myself. I'm seeing it on my desktop on firefox.

The hunt for answers must commence...
