180 posts automatically qualify? Is there a way to see how many posts you've made in a month that I don't know about? Because it gets tedious counting posts in the statistics tab of the profile page...It just shows total posts and average posts per day. You have to search all posts and then count them up...and it doesn't display a date for the post until the 7th day.

I just wrote down my total 48 hours ago, and I get my total by subtraction.

I count approximately ten for you in the past 2 days, so your initial count must have been approximately 13,400.
{I am a little conservative for this sort of thing}
Your "magic number" then would be approximately 13400 + 180 = 13580.

you can find your posts by clicking under your name to the left

it is in date/time order

keep track each day and you will know your total

may not be 100 % timely so give yourself a little leeway, shoot for more than 180

31 days in August so if you post 7 times a day you will be fine

I can always just wait a few weeks, then count how many pages of posts I have in the search results...

I'll admit that at first I found the post flurry annoying. There just seemed to be a deluge of pointlessness all over the place to up the count. More pointless than usual that is. I say this as someone who has been involved in generating my fair share of pointlessness. I may just be used to it now, but I think the mass posting has evolved to be more thoughtful while upping the count. It's really great people are going through old photos and commenting on ones they've enjoyed, it makes posted photos feel a little less ephemeral if they are brought back to life occasionally.

Also, a well timed bathroom break got me into the last raffle with really little effort on my part. As I've made no attempt to up the forum post count, I do thank those who did the work to give me a chance to win (and our host too of course for having the contest in the first place).

Guys, I've been getting some complaints from users who are experiencing disruptions in their browsing experience due to a flood of posts, mostly in the photo-sharing sections. While I'm excited by the enthusiasm and increased level of participation, I'd like to ask everyone to refrain from posting just to raise that progress bar

"Brute forcing" the counter is definitely not in the spirit of the giveaway, and while it hadn't been an issue in prior months, I may add a cap on spikes in activity if we continue receiving such feedback.

Personally, in the past month or so I've seen some great discussions and people contributing to those discussions that may not have otherwise. The comments on the older photos doesn't bother me, in fact it's nice to see some of them again, Any sort of inspiration to get back out and shoot more is a good thing.
