I think you misunderstand my light hearted-ness.
As per new ones I've taken and posted? I did a lot last month, but generally I have only time for 1 or two outings a month for photography. Likely won't have any time this month for taking new photos other than the one I took on Aug.1 and posted yesterday.
One thing I've noticed about pentaxians, is that, like the Op in this thread, they take things too seriously. I guess canikons do too.
BTW, I did some looking for your new images Aslyfox and couldn't find them.

the easiest way to find a member's post that I know of is to click on the post numbers under the name to the left

you should get a listing of posts by date and time

and then you can click on any you want to see

for example I found this excellent photo you posted yesterday

Allen, if someone decided not to try to win a full frame camera because their odds are now 1 in 350 instead of 1 in 300, they doesn't deserve the K-1 - it should go to a lover of photography, not a bean counter.

It could also be below 300 - remember that the last thread in July never fully filled -or perhaps there will be no drawing at all if posting number sag. But that is not the point. This is supposed to be a "fun" activity, but people are getting "bent out of shape" over it, from people who expected a sleepy site over the summer to people who want a camera without doing any "work".

Even if it is one in a thousand, it is still better odds than for most lotteries out there and doesn't cost anything to enter. It's all good.

I went from increasing my post numbers to let other folks have a chance, [ I had no intention of entering the June contest ]

to entering the first raffle selection thread in July and grabbing a slot

to being rewarded an automatic spot in August

in late July I decided " why not give it a shot, can't argue with free "

of course, should I be lucky enough to win, then what do I do with 3 Pentax Cameras and my LBA would jump to what FF lenses would I to get

Adam has set rules now that almost anyone, assuming they had time to make 7 posts per day, would get an automatic slot into the contest

Gambling in unavoidable in life.

If you've gone outside without an umbrella, you have gambled that it won't rain.

And if you've gone outside with an umbrella, you have gambled that it will rain (otherwise the umbrella was a needless burden and a loss).

Sorry, all I see is greed. Plain and simple. My interactions here have not changed. I as the OP was vilified for even suggesting this.
This is not a sustainable model for increasing traffic to the site, I wonder what next months post count will be, 11000, 9000.....?

Lets see how may of the real contributor's to the site remain at the current level of posts after there is no monetary incentive.
I come here to be a part of something, share my thoughts, and see what others are doing. If someone catches my attention, I check out their older posts and photos. I try to be involved in the community. And have shared my experience, expectations, and solutions.

All I see here, and in my, and Lana's thread is people set on, for, in lesser words, basic internet bullying, for posting a point of view not with the greed inspired.

You were not as prolific before this. Why are you so prolific now? Be honest with yourself, and stop bullying those whom are not. And if you think you are not bullying the op, posting up all the reasons it's so bad that the op started this thread..
