What changes would you make to your lens collection if you won the K-1?

I have a great collection of glass - but some of it isn't going to work on a K-1. If I won I thought about it and made a plan of sorts - a roadmap of where I'd go with my glass:

Today Zooms:
DAL: 18-50
DA: 12-24, 18-135, 55-300 (original DA, not WR, not PLM)
DA*: 16-50, 50-135, 60-250* (I have the baffle needed to make this more compatible on FF)
DA Limited: 20-40
Tokina SF-X 35-70 f3.5-4.8

Today Primes:
Rokinon 8mm
DA Limited: 15, 40, 70* (largely FF capable)
FA Limited: 31, 77
FA: 35 f2 (operates like an M series)
F: 50 f/1.7
M: 50 f/2
A: 50 f/2
Takumar Bayonet: 135 f/2.5
FA* 300
DA* 200 (FF capable)

TC's:
HD DA 1.4x (nope... not for most things)
F AFA 1.7x (maybe)

FF or Near FF Zooms: 60-250
FF or Near FF Primes: 31, 35, 40*, 50, 70*, 77, 100, 135, 200, 300 (* weak corners but acceptable per forum memb)
Partial coverage: 12-24 (20-24*), 55-300 (near 300*)

Weaknesses:
No walkabout AF/WR zoom, no fast zooms, no long telephoto (300 + HD DA isn't going to cut it), No wide angle primes, No autofocus normal primes

Remediation Plans:
1) Get a DFA 28-105? (Walkabout solved).
2) Get an FA 43, DFA 50 macro f2.8, DA* 55, FA 50 1.4 (Leaning towards FA 43. No interest in the DFA* 50 1.4)
3) Get a 3rd party 28-75 f/2.8 (fast zoom and non-WR walkabout lens solved for the short term)
4) Since 20mm works on the DA 12-24 this is less of a priority - particularly since I have recently found I like the starbursts made by this lens. Long term perhaps a 20mm prime f/4.
5) Look for a TC 1.5x Kenko perhaps?
6) Look for a manual focus 300 or 400 that mates well with the F 1.7x

Keep APSC kit and lenses. Items 5 and 6 are low priority.

Thoughts on this and your own plans?

I currently have
DA 55-300 ED WR
DA 18-135
Sigma 10-20
FA 28-105
several Takumar M42 prime lenses, including 35mm and 50mm
several Pentax-M and Pentax-A lenses, include 50mm of each

several AdaptAll zoom lenses, including 35-80mm and 60-300mm

On several threads here, people have said you can make good use of older lenses. Kerrowdown uses a collection of older manual lenses.

If I were to receive the K-1, I would purchase the PLM version of the DA 55-300, because the K-1 in crop mode would be at least as good as the K-30 I'm using now. I would use the FA 28-105, instead of the DA 18-135, as my "everyday" lens, and use the Sigma 10-20 as my wide angle lens (*), and then start sorting through what I have, seeing how my old lenses actually work on this camera, before making any further decisions.

(*) several users have reported that Sigma 10-20 doesn't vignette in the 15-20mm range.

I haven't given it much thought. But I'm thinking of ditching my 43mm in favor of the Carl Zeiss 50mm F2 ZK Makro-Planar T*. Any thoughts on that? I focus manually most of the time anyhow.

After some usage, and if I don't find it too big, I'll find a 43ltd and call myself happy.

I only have one crop frame lens - the 18-55mm digital kit lens.

As for full frame, I have fifteen manual focus primes covering all the major focal lengths 20mm to 400mm. And four auto focus zoom lenses. And a 1.4x TC. And a 2x TC.

No need to get any new lenses for my new K-1, then.

I would trade the HD DA 70 f2.4 for a D-FA 28-105, and get a Sigma 35mm f1.4 probably. Then I would see how I got on with those and go from there.

Sigh... On the downside, I would have to sell all my lenses - zooms and primes from Pentax, Sigma and Tamron. On the plus side, I would have to buy all new lenses. Given my vast (well, half-vast) experience, I would go fast portrait with regular wide (77 f1.8 plus 35 f2) or switch the ends (100 f2.8 macro plus 31 f1.8 ltd). Great to have fast for both but budget won't go there. Use the footie zoom feature and it would be like my K1000 days with the 50 f2 and whatever M42 lenses dad would let me borrow (I really liked the 85 and only played with the 135, 17FE and others a bit). Did not have access to wide angle until my 35-105 f3.5 and have to say I used the 35 side more than I thought I would, so want that slightly wide shot again. But, if we are dreaming, can I dream of a HUGE sale at just the right time...

"Modern" thinking is that 43mm is much closer to a 'standard' view than 50mm is.

I really like my 28mm on my k-5IIs. I figure the 43mm would supplant it on the K-1, which is why I've kept it around. But I want something a little easier to focus manually.

True - I didn't say that but thought the same.

The Red items won't work worth trying from what I have read. Perhaps in 1:1 crop?
The Orange items have either known issues with corners or variable performance (like the TC)
The Yellow items are very close but may have some lack of resolution in the edges.
Green is good.

Based on this you are lacking in autofocus wide angles and you have a fairly limited FOV with the 28mm compared to some ultrawide users but you will be very well established on the telephoto end. I'd agree wide angle is a priority - and perhaps a walk around lens?
