It's not a feature film, but worth a mention if you want something hilarious to watch - Midsummer Murders "Picture of Innocence", Season 10 Episode 6, 2007. This one features some great film vs digital rivalries as well as a couple great photo projects and the usual cast of insanely one-dimensional lunatics you'll be used to if you've ever watched the series.

Pecker, 1998. So you know what to expect, it was written and directed by John Waters.

Heads up for those with access to BBC there is a documentary about Don (“don’t call me a war photographer”) McCullin at 9pm tonight on BBC 4.
I've just set that to record, though I imagine it'll be available on BBC iPlayer. Thanks for the tip-off

The Year of Living Dangerously (1982) about Australian reporter Guy Hamilton (Mel Gibson) in Indonesia dealing with turmoil under Sukarno, with Linda Hunt as Billy Kwan, a local ‘stringer’ Photographer who befriends Hamilton and Sigourney Weaver, Hamilton’s love interest.

An excellent, sensitive film.

Another one on BBC Four that might be of interest... next Monday (11th Feb 2019) at 22:00 GMT, as part of the BBC's "Storyville" series, "Under The Wire" - a documentary about Paul Conroy and Marie Colvin's fateful mission in city of Homs, Syria. For those that aren't familiar with him, Paul Conroy is the freelance photographer / journalist who was with Marie Colvin when she was tragically killed...

Just watched it and felt that it was a bit mocking about one of the great photgraphers of our time, making him out to be an out-of-date old dinosaur. It was fascinating to watch the great man at work though.

Are we allowing documentary feature films, as well as fictional?
documentaries are also a good addition

In that case, the biographical film about Sebastiao Salgado, "Salt of the Earth", is a must-see.

City of God (2002). I haven't actually watched it yet, but it is highly-regarded. I think it is on available Netflix currently. (It is about two kids in a Brazilian slum -- one friend becomes a photographer, the other a gangster.)

Watched that movie on Netflix. I enjoyed the movie as it brought back a lot of memories for me. I was hoping that they would show the equipment. I worked on the project that developed the Kodachrome "minilab" to make Kodachrome processing more readily available.

If you have ever made an image using the dye sublimation process that will give you and idea of how complex the Kodachrome process was.

Technically outside the field of play for the OP, but the late and great Robin Williams is chilling i 'One Hour Photo'.

Has a beard, so he's serious in that one.

That's a *good* film. And it's definitely photography related.

Poor old Robin. Such a talented chap...

I think War Photographer is worth a look. It's a documentary about James Nachtwey. War Photographer (2001) - IMDb

While not a feature film, Nachtwey has also held a powerful TED talk. Note: He displays a number of disturbing images there. James Nachtwey: My wish: Let my photographs bear witness | TED Talk

"When war at Iraq was imminent I realized that the American troops would be very well covered, so I decided to cover the war from inside Baghdad."
