Here's an interactive google map which, if you zoom in, will show you all the paces to consider for your vacation.

Doesn"t Dewman live in Idaho Falls? Two Pentaxians in the same location could cause a ripple in the space-time continuum.

Only 4 years later, an eclipse will be visiting the Kiwis & Aussies (EclipseWise - Total Solar Eclipse of 2028 Jul 22)

Actually a bit SW of there. But in that part of the country that is next door. Also about 2 1/2 hours form Yellowstone and dwalt lives not to far from there too.

At least you would all be on the same side of the Rockies. Another definition of the three Pentax amigos?

By 2024 it should be a short flight by flying car to get there.
At least that's what my 30 year old back issues of popular mechanics say.

That one will be a bit far from home. See Total Solar Eclipse of 2028 Jul 22
In 2037, however... Total Solar Eclipse of 2037 Jul 13
And 2038.... Total Solar Eclipse of 2038 Dec 26

We live three hours from Indy, so we could do this as a day trip .... but in 2017 I spent the time photographing others looking at the eclipse, so I doubt if we'll bother making the trip for the eclipse. On the other hand, our newly-wed daughter and her husband seem to plan to stay in Muncie IN {NE of Indy}; from the map, they may be right on the path of the eclipse, so we may visit them for the occasion.
