Also the guy who gloats that the eggs we eat here are inferior (a year ago, he switched to eggs from a different farm, and they bigger, tastier and have more golden yolks - and he comes here frequently to remind us how good they are). And then, the guy who got tired of carrying hen eggs home from the supermarket because they're too bulky and heavy, so he sold them all and switched to quail eggs. Most of us think they're too small to be of much use, but he insists they're as versatile as any other egg. Lastly, the chap who had his eggs delivered from the supermarket, and they were broken. So now he's convinced that all eggs, especially the ones we're eating, are terrible quality and insists on telling us before he disappears for good...
Ever had duck or goose eggs?
Pretty much the same as cackleberries from a barnyard buzzard.
But use duck or goose eggs in cooking.
If the recipe calls for 2 eggs, 2 duck eggs will be too much. Even only one goose egg will be equal to more than two chicken eggs.
But use two duck eggs in place of two chicken eggs in, say a cake recipe. The cake will be taller and fluffier. Way better.
