Poll for College COMM Class

As the final assignment for my College Communications Course I have to write a research report on the topic of my choice. I am looking for some data for my report and as such am asking the members of Pentax Forums -- as well as a few other online forums -- to participate in a simple poll.

The question is simple:
“Do Macintosh Users belong to an exclusive subsection of society?”

The available answers are:
Yes - And Mac Users are the only computer users to whom this would apply
Yes - And Mac Users are not the only computer users to whom this would apply
No - Using a Mac is a simply a personal choice

***

I would also ask that if you do happen to find this poll on other web forums that you please refrain from voting more than once. Discussion is invited and encouraged! Thanks again.

Well, the teacher is a bit a of a strange duck. I think he's a bit of a conspiracy theorist by some of the things he's driveled on about... But the question is a little out of context without my overall topic to go along with. But that's the point

I voted. I think the question should have been worded something like ....... exclusive or exluded subsection ......... . That seems a more rational less weighted way of asking the question IMO.

I voted too, but agree that the question seems a bit whacked, but that's not unusual. How many polls do you see that clearly explore the subject rather than stearing takers toward a preconceived or desired response. Very few...

"Sub-Culture" seems more apropos here, but we don't know the intent of his thesis which I am sure is by design so as not to skew his results.

Either personal choice, or too much money on their hands.

i have 2 i-macs lol, 2.16GHz intel core 2 duo and the 2.0 ghz earlier model.
started as a choice s'pose turned into ingrained culture

It's meant to emphasise the "exclusivity" that mac users think they shroud themselves in.
Most mac users I've met would wear "I USE A MAC THUS I AM BETTER THAN YOU" on their shirts if they could.

MAC vs PC is no different than Nikon vs Canon vs everyone else. They are all just tools. use the one that you suits your needs, desires, budget, etc and get on with life.

But just not the way I want to with a choice of software that I want or choice of hardware that I want.

I would tick the first answer, but it's not followed by "...and they think they're better than you because of it."

My beef is not with the hardware, nor with the software. It's with the dozens of condescending ******s I've come across who think that a Mac is what God handed to Moses on Mt Sinai.
