newegg for canadians

So newegg.ca is live. With a promotion code NEWEGGCA20 (Newsletter Coupon) they're giving $20 off purchases (have to sign up for a newsletter)

2x 8gb transcend sdhc cards comes out to $38.68 after taxes etc. Decent enough I guess, though shipping for 2 SDHC cards should not cost anywhere near what they're charging via UPS ($17!!). That coupon pretty much pays for shipping and taxes and that's it. The offer ends on the 21st of this month.

Just thought someone might like to take them up on the offer in case there isn't a cheap computer store near by for memory, hard drives for storage etc.

the variety and quality of service shoudl be excellent

I have used newegg many times. in fact I recently purchased all the parts for my system 'downgrade' for my new PC from newegg. best online retailer out there for anything PC's, glad you canucks finally get your own egg.

Hopefully the deals are similar to the ".com" site...but that's asking to much as a Canadian consumer

UPS are terrible with their brokerage fees, so that's gonna prevent me from using the newegg.ca site on principle alone (unless somehow started offering USPS or FedEx etc.)

with newegg canada, do you pay the tax upfront instead of to UPS?
