Great news, Rosemary. Isn't it a wonderful thing finding your calling instead of having a midlife crisis

Don't ge me wrong, I only say that cause at 42 I started studying Graphic Design. Suck everything up like a sponge, have loads of fun and success will come

Touching those "other" brands will be tough but somebody's gotta do it right!
Yeah, I know, but if I can work some magic and make enough $ with the pentax they will let me use it and even buy what I need. All depends on what I can make my camera do!

Rosemary,
You know you'll do great and have fun at the same time--plus cash, how can this be legal?

Ah, the first day, lol Well it was a lot of the traditional paper work that has to be done when you start something like this. And reading a bunch of manuals to learn their process and work flow. I am learning a lot already! Sat I have a boudoir shoot with Katie and I get to take lighting and stuff! How cool is that! I have never worked with lighting so tomorrow I get a crash course If I had not gotten accepted I have no idea how long it would have taken me to get to a point where I would have access to lighting. Because of this shoot I am jumping right in, its a wee bit over whelming but I will be find. I have to also take the canon and their lenses to follow their work flow. The camera I will be using is different from my K10 D and I do plan on shooting some with my K10 too. And looks huge too! There are a lot of shoots on sat so i got what was left but it will all be just fine. I am very excited and meeting some pretty nice interesting very skilled photogs. Best part is they are very helpful! I can't wait to get to the point where I can work with them on their shoots too. I believe this is going to be a wonderful opportunity and it will really leap me ahead on the learning curve big time.
Everyone, thank you for your well wishes!

So happy for you, Rosemary! What's that old Irish blessing..., May the wind be ever at your back, may the road rise up to meet you, may the sun shine warm upon your face....I forget the rest of it, but I send it to you in spades. Good on you.

Rosemary, best wishes and I know you'll do well, yet have so much fun. Sponge it in and rest lots, because it can be tiring learning new things (not that you didn't know that!).

Please keep us posted!

Regards,
Marc

So i will be stocked with an assortment of lighting, pocket wizards and a ring flash too. Wow, I had no idea some of these packs where going to be so heavy! well muscle arms here I come, lol I am keeping my fingers crossed that I learned enough to come home with fab pics tomorrow!
